Oh definitely agree. There were times where I thought he held on to the ball too long and waited too late to throw on the deep routes. To his defense though, it seems that TCU was picking up our RB's out of the backfield pretty decently. But it also seemed there weren't safety valves because the RB's were blocking. I'll have to watch this with more conventional defense instead of the 4-2-5 that TCU runs.

I agree with that also. I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I like LSU being ranked where they were. Sort of overlooked and not being talked about for a SECCG. I like it like that and it is improved offensively for sure. I'm liking what I saw. I was just pulling some things out I thought needing improvement. I didn't mean to sound like such a pessimist. I wish we our D from last year with this offense. Oh well, maybe these guys will fill in those shoes nicely. You never know till they get put in the fire.

Not sure I agree with you here. He's improved in every facet, most notably, his pocket awareness, which I thought was mostly instinct, but apparently it can be taught. I didn't see him hold the ball longer then he should have all night. In fact, he threw a few away when no one was open. He does still have a tendency to stare down receivers, but that may have been because they were all wide open. I would like to see him show that he can go to 2nd or 3rd receivers when 1st when is not there.
Totally agree. With exception of a few plays, it's basically the same plays as last year. Not much creativity, but the difference being that the execution was sharper, we were more balanced, and less predictable.

No excuse for getting a delay of game out of a timeout, but Les will be Les.

I think the DL will be fine. We do have to work on stopping the QB read option, but I think the D prepared mostly for TCU's 1st QB, Pachall, who's not a runner. Good adjustment by the 'Frogs, but we were starting to figure it out late in the game.

We're not there yet, but the mistakes from Sat. are easily correctable and the biggest improvement of the year usually comes between 1st and 2nd games. We have a bye week before both Bama and A&M, so great scheduling there to prepare. We should be fine.

Too Young right now IMO to pick NC, but certainly more than capable. As is any team.
