One of my best friend in school( Brent ) daddy knew the man very well. They were in nam together. Brents dad was the door gunner on the same chopper they both were crewmembers of or something like that. Brent told me then that his dad talked to the man the night before the shooting. Brent had answered the phone when he called. He told me that someone in the sheriff dept, who was also in nam with them, told when the plane was coming in and at what gate.
yeah they graduated from istrouma when it was all white. maybe one black dude. he pleaded no-contest and got 7 yrs hard labor then they suspended his sentence before serving a day if i recall. i remember seeing it on tv and it blowing my mind. terrible pun but best i can describe it. just a normal, easy going fella who wanted justice for his son and thought he was doing the right thing. nice guy. its always the nice ones. gary plauche killing a doucet was coonass on coonass justice i suppose.
