Well if Fisher "allegedly" wasn't allowed to have full control of the offense, then hire someone you have trust and faith in to get the job done. So you're basically saying 3 different head coaches didn't allow him to do what he wanted to on offense? I don't buy that line of crap.
This offense promises to be interesting with the addition of such a strong running game. I think this is a great hire.
well - I think we are perfectly set for the spread offense, with the really quick running backs and a good crop of WRs. The question mark is going to be QB...Flynn or RP (should he still be on the team). This has huge potential if we get the most out of our talent.......think Florida's offense.
No, we were 4 home games from a national championship. That schedule was brutal. I don't blame Jimbo for the "failure"
jeff is right and saban gave jimbo the most control til LSU had the lead, which was often in most cases during the 03 season. He never had full control under Les but hiring crowton means he has agreed to do so you can bet. because crowton in no way would come here with his hands tied. dude put up sick numbers at byu and led the country in total offense a few years when there. great hire if Les keeps his hands untied.

Guys, I am an LSU grad now living in Portland, OR and work with a guy who went to UO. He was saying Crowton runs a pretty complex offense which usually takes college kids a year or two to get down. Crowton's credentials sound good, but I hope its not too hard to pick up
