The talent is there (and I know you will never agree) but the experience is lacking. Rogers and Rosegreen started for years and developed to outstanding players. I expect the same from this group. I would think that I would know more about the recruits from my team than a fan from a rival school, just as they would know more about their own recruits than I do. Your statement, while not inaccurate, is simply an opinion. It would be like me saying that LSU's defense is going to be down because of Spears and Webster have moved on. You would come back with their replacements, whom I know nothing about. Fact is, all the new players we are talking about are unknown quantities at the moment. The talent is there for both programs, it is just a matter of it panning out. If it does, the SEC West will come down to our two schools for several years to come, whether you choose to believe that or not is another matter.
I don't mind proudly stating my hatred for all things AU, but that doesn't mean I have to be an ass to people coming on here to talk football. Now if you are going to spout typical corndog BS, all bets are off
You got me, Marine, that was a dumb ass statement I made. At least I can recognize it when I do, unlike some people. Since we have already completely hi-jacked this thread, who else besides Auburn stands in your way to the SEC West crown next year? Like it or not, it will come down to the Tigers and the Tigers.
i don't think anybody stands in our way...the only teams that can slow us up are tennessee and Florida, and thats SEC overall not SEC west:lsup: LSU!
Auburn now goes back to where it belongs, among the Ole Missies and the Piggies while I think Bama rises and becomes a player in the West again. With a sizeable dropoff between #2 UA and the bottom feeders.
I, personaly, can't wait till 06' when we get a chance to go back to that STD of a town and shove it down AU's throat. Those LA Tech wanna bees have got it coming after the way we were treated there this last year. I swear, they tried to pick a fight with my sunday school teaching mother. Beating them this year will be sweet, no doubt, but the game next year is what I'm living for.
