Can you occasionally have something mildly interesting to add to a thread? Just read what you type before posting and try to imagine if anyone one else would enjoy reading it at all.

But then by commenting so passionately, you make me feel as if my post is way more provocative and interesting then you're letting on. Can you envision/imagine what I'm saying?

"I'm going out there to try and win football games," Mett said shrugging his shoulders at the suggestion of the buildup to his senior campaign. "That's about all I can do. I only worry about what happens in this building and this team."

"The biggest thing is that I've been working on small details of my game, little things mechanically, whether it's my steps or the way I hold the ball. I'm getting a lot cleaner and better with my drops, reading through progressions. It's the things that come with time and studying the playbook."

"I'm working through progressions better, getting to check-downs, becoming more of a total quarterback in this camp than I've ever been before."

    Mettenberger on Cam Cameron:

"The guy is just a genius, he's smart, and technique-oriented. And he's a player's coach at the same time, the whole package. It's refreshing for a quarterback to have someone with so much knowledge of the game. It's going to make me that much better."

    Cam Cameron on Mett:

"When you combine eyes, mind and feet ... he can throw a football; there is no throw this kid can't make, none," Cameron said. "I don't like to make comparisons, but he throws the ball a lot like (Baltimore Ravens quarterback) Joe Flacco. I'm not saying he's Flacco or anybody.

"He knows it's more than having an arm. It's got to go where we want it to go when we want it to go there with the right timing. All those other techniques are going to be critical to his success."

5th year senior player-coach Josh Williford on Mett:

"He's been the voice of the team this summer," guard Josh Williford said. "He was up here every day watching film or taking snaps and throwing the ball. He's trying to make the team one team, not offense and defense I think he's going to shine, I really do."

    Stephen Rivers on Mett:

"He's poised to have a breakout year. Since I've known him he's grown as a leader and an individual. He's way more mature. He's tightened up a bunch of things. I can't imagine him not having a great year."

    Boone:

"You can't be scared to go across the middle," Boone said. "When Zach is in a bind, he's going to go to somebody he trusts. (Receivers coach Adam Henry) always preaches to be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed be there. That's my mindset whenever I'm on the field. Whatever my route is, I make sure and run my route so when Zach makes his reads, I'm there for him."

"If you show you can play with physicality, our coaches will put you in position to make plays."

"The only thing I have control of is making plays when I'm in the game."

“I’m just ready,” Mettenberger said. “I’ve been waiting for this week for a long time now. A year of game experience put some credentials under my belt, and then we got coach Cameron. ... I’m just ready for Saturday to come.”
