The same 8 teams or so will always be at the top and the rest will always be wannabes.

    ????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Like the Packers and the 49ers ? The Raiders, Miami, or the Jets ? All below .500 ( 8 wins between 5 teams this year)
Or the Ravens who won a Super Bowl a few years ago ?
Or the Titans who were in the Super Bowl 4 years ago ?
    Both with 2-5 records !

I actually think that its easier for a NFL team to turn it around, become exciting, and win, than it is for a College team. The obvious exceptions to that statement are the Saints and the Cardinals - who have horrible owners.
There are two types of owners in pro sports, those who hate to lose, and those who hate to lose money - Benson and the Cardinals owner are definitely in the latter category.

I'm just prefer college sports over professional, don't know why.

I want to see Benson & anyone else who would extort this state/New Orleans for the obscene amount of money he has GONE. My preference would be to get rid of Benson, but keep the Saints. The "Clevelend" deal could make this possible, but I think it's very possible that if the Saints leave - Louisiana will not get another NFL team for a long, long time.

The Saints themselves costs much more money to this state than they ever brought in. Tourism? Are you kidding me? But having the Super Dome did bring in money - hosting events like the Super Bowl mean big money. The question is whether, once New Orleans is rebuilt, a dome will be built & mantained without a professional team to support it?

Also, I'm a big supporter of tearing down the dome & building a state of the art facility. The Super Dome had some heritage to it, but let's be honest - it was a LOSING heritage. Let's start fresh with the new New Orleans.

The best shot NOLA will have at getting another team will be luring another "small market" franchise here. Tennessee, Jacksonville would be the most likely candidates. There won't be any expansion for a while, if ever.

Some would call that capitalism beating government. Anybody have a pic of the yacht? It's probably pretty nice!

Of course, that's implied. We're talking LOUISIANA government. The citizens of the state LOVE corrupt officials, and for the most part, refuse to elect anything different.

Unfortunantly, you speak the truth there.
