I don't think it's bad blood between the two it's first that die hard saints fans that are not LSU fans are jealous that LSU fans get to see winning football. Second I think that LSU fans that are saints fans are just tired of benson and the saints losing.

I'll be watching the saints and probably cussing at the tv today, but I'll be relieved when they leave so I can have a reason to hate them and pull for them to lose. That should turn my Sundays into fundays instead of just another day with a miserable depressing loss by the saints.

No, actually I think it has more to do with the attitude a majority of LSU fans have toward the Saints. Constant belittling, bad-mouthing, and just complete lack of respect and arrogance. I'm personally starting to agree with them.

    Yes.

I'm fed up with Benson's antics and his blackmailing of the state. I'm sick of the Saints unprecedented losing record. I really thought Benson would die some day and we'd get a reasonable owner. Let San Antonio have Benson and this miserable losing team. New Orleans has bigger problems than the Saints right now.

I like Nagins idea to set up New Orleans for the next round of expansions in a few years. New Orleans has proved it can fill a stadium . . . even for a wretched team.

I respect that opinion. In fact I share it. The only reason I'm fighting so hard to keep this version of the Saints is because I'm 99% sure if they leave, New Orleans/Louisiana will never see NFL football again, and certainly won't get the Cleveland plan.

Agreed, but then everyone can stop WASTING their sunday afternoons, and go fishing, hunting, or play a round of golf, without any of the heartbreak and frustration of pulling for those perennial losers. I experienced this in Houston, and I was fine without a local NFL team. Your alternatives are healthier.

Plus the bloodsuckers won't bleed your state treasury. Spend the money on SCHOOLS. F the greedy rich pro franchise owners.

I just hope that if he moves that he has to pay the state in a buy out clause of some sort. Phuck Benson! If he moves to SA, with the Texans and the Cowboys, are people in Texas gonna put up with his greedy ass sucking off the $$ and putting out an inferior team? I agree with Red on all points.

But of course, my good buddy . . . I would support the new Saints, just like I supported the old Saints when they were born in 1967.

I'm hoping that the team moves without the nickname, color, logo, and so on, so that NOLA can get a new Saints team in the future.

However, bottom line, I want this version of the Saints to fade into oblivion.

Especially after this game, there is a LARGE part of me that won't be heartbroken to see them go. What is getting to me right now is that they want to blame the fans in Louisiana for all their problems. I would LOVE to see them come to Baton Rouge in front of a sell out TIGER STADIUM crowd and then tell me that San Antonio can be better to them than the people of Louisiana.

For all the crying about fan support, this team rarely gives us something to get excited about. If they want to leave, hey, that's their right, and it makes sense since there is no real stadium or large city left for them to play in. But to do it by saying the state doesn't want us or appreciate us when the fans in San Antonio don't boo us is out of line and a knife in the back. Of course they love you, it's the only chance they'll ever have to get pro football. Of course they don't boo, they've only had to deal with 7 weeks of Saints football. The good people of Louisiana have had to deal with it for damn near 40 years!

Let's see if they are still loved by San Antonio (if you even think they are now with all the Cowboy fans there) when they have 4 or 5 losing seasons in a row! :cuss:

Who cares what excuse the Saints use to leave, let them go.
Louisiana would be better off with an expansion team.
The real suckers are whoever gets the Saints! :hihi:

They can blame the fans in SA or LA also next time.
