Yes I know that. I was just saying I don't remember if they started at a campus location that following Saturday or not.

    Besides you are forgetting
Western Illionois at Nebraska - New era begins at Nebraska
Don't you think they will be making a big deal out of this game? Just think another another coach from the pro's taking over a CFB program. I might be wrong but I thought know it all (Trev) played at Nebraska.

    Re:

The Gameday crew made it to a game every week of the year this past year. Their budget got increased before the beginning of last year.

They were at Ohio St for OSU vs Washington right after the first game. You can view the entire ESPN gameday schedule from last year here. http://journal.collegefootballgameday.com/#week1.

The date of the OSU vs UW game on the Gameday website is Sept 3. but that is just when the guy wrote the journal entry.

Miami/La Tech was on Aug. 28 and the OSU/UW game was on Aug 30.

As for our chances of getting Gameday on the 1st game this year....very good. It's collegefootballnews.com marquee matchup of the week, and we happen to be the defending National Champions. I doubt they do the BYU game, and no way they will do one with a Div 1A school against a Div 1AA school.

I doubt we get another home chance to get Gameday unless someone on our schedule late in the season is undefeated, and we are too or 1 loss.

OSU will be no earlier than 5:30 CST

I read it somewhere, can't remember where, but it was lsusports.net or something like that, not a message board. LSU has already told ESPN that the kickoff can be moved but must occur between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. CST. whatever it was I read stated that the game will be on ESPN but nothing about the gameday crew.

In my opinion we will be televised that night but the gameday crew will be in Florida for the UM/FSU game Labor Day weekend even though the game isn't till Monday.

    Attendance

$100 sez we're gonna have record attendance at the OSU game. That's gonna freaking rock for the season opener.
