    Hodson to Davis, what a combo. Davis is my all time favorite Tiger. I remember pretending I was Wendell as a kid.

    Davey's 3347 yds in 2001 is the official LSU single-season record. Mett is currently on a pace for 3355 in the regular season. The single-season TD pass record is 28, shared by Russell in '06 and Mauck in '03. Mett is on pace for 31.

    It's a pleasure to watch him this year.

    For some reason, though the dismal defensive performance was aggravating and made us lose the game, it was more bearable because we could basically score at will. That somehow feels better than knowing you can't score.

    But unfortunately that poor play cost us in our only 2 losses of the season. Otherwise, we're playing for a national championship.
