So even at the beginning of the game the stadium looked thin. 3rd quarter and it looks thinner. I’m wondering at what point is the administration going to realize they are pricing the normal guy out of the game.
Have you had season tickets before? TAF fees and all the other bill shit is outrageous. It doesn’t help. Out fan base is also spoiled, that doesn’t help.
No, I have not had season tickets, but the stats say there were better than 98k in attendance for every home game last year, so a whole lot of someones are buying tickets. How about this? The fan base is disgruntled after a generally poor look so far this year, and one of the ugliest outings in recent memory last week. The stadium, with 102,000 seats, has outgrown the surrounding infrastructure, making attendance a pain in the ass, especially when so many fans now realize they can stay at the tailgate and watch the game on satellite instead of going into the stadium itself. And the experience in the stadium has become unpleasant, with loud, obnoxious piped in music drowning out the band, and so many ribbon scoreboards flashing lights at you its a wonder the everyone in attendance doesn't suffer collective seizures. I have always been against the people who pop up now and then to argue for a new stadium. Now, I don't know; IMO, Tiger Stadium is not Tiger Stadium any more.
Things change when you know aint playing for the SEC title after the 1st matchup. I'll go to the game and catch the 2nd half at Outback or Hooter's
