    OK, I laughed a little.

    I suppose the uniform designer hasn't changed either . . .

Well, that's top secret, but why change designers?.. the last two years the Ducks have been looking especially sweet.

I do miss the green helmet with the yellow O

I always enjoy it when you speak with such optimism. Speaking of the pac 12, what in the world is going on with Stanford these days? They are getting some beastly recruits, apparently with an IQ to match. They just pulled in the #1 pro QB prospect in America. So my question is a legitimate and sincere one. If Stanford doesn't turn the ball over, how will the Ducks bend that defense in Cardinalville?

OK, I'm basing this on last year, ignoring graduations, and speculating about freshmen.

Stanford beat us 17-14, Oregon was something like 4/17 on 3rd down, 1/4 on 4th.

The Ducks usually make hay against big lumbering defenses. Stanford has great safeties, coupled with their smaller fast linebackers they allowed us very little YAC, and few long runs.

Kenyon Barner was not as good of a 3rd down back as LaMike. We have an incoming freshman RB who is much bigger and faster, he could be a factor this fall.

I don't think Stanfurd can handle our offense, it'll probably come down to, how well do we contain them.

    Stanford looks tough

Nothing wrong with optimism oozing over this time of year. Behind enemy lines one does tend to get criticized a little. With Stanford, I'm use to the John Elway, Jim Plunkett approach. You know, all QB and little else around them. But I'm beginning to wonder if Shaw isn't finishing what Harbaugh started over there. I like their scheme, personnel they're putting on the field.

My Pac 12 sleeper, I'm thinking maybe 3rd or 4th in the conference, this season, is Arizona State. I Like their QB, Kelly. This "airraid" stuff will work to some degree in your part of the football world and hearing they will try some pistol. If No injuries, better defense and stop throwing turnovers. If they get pass ND, in Jerry World, look at.

Arizona State and Arizona is an interesting story.

Graham got his start coaching collegiate football with an offer from Rich Rod when RR took over the WVU program in 2001.(?)

Rich Rod and Graham both took over those two Arizona programs in 2012.

ASU definitely has a favorable schedule this year with their only true road test coming in Palo Alto.

When Harbaugh left, I pretty much expected Stanford to revert back to being Stanford. Hasn't happened, and Shaw now looks like a formidable coach,.. I wouldn't mind seeing him go to the NFL

Last year the pac hired 4 new coaches, Kelly seemed like the poorest choice to me, but as you say, Arizona State is coming on pretty strong.

Hmmm, I expected Mora to fail at UCLA, I thought Leach would take right off at Washington State, and I was wrong about Shaw at Stanford. One can only conclude,.. I don't know shit.

The PAC sure has a lot of short tenured coaches.

    3 1st year coaches
    4 2nd year
    1 3rd
    1 4th
    1 5th

    That's interesting.

Utah as a newbie and their coach has the longest tenure. Whittingham took over for Meyer in 2005 making him a coach entering his 9th season.

MacIntyre would make four 1st year coaches?

Surprising to me is, the pac's third senior coach is UW's Sarkesian, already starting his 5th season,.. seems like he was just hired.
