What the hell? I think it is a good move for Chipper K to stay put, but dang...drama. Congrats on the early signing day bonus.

I am amused to note that on the main LSU forum of an LSU fansite, a non-LSU thread has stayed active for 4 months, and is now on its 33rd page. GDF, you are one persistent mf-er!!

Sounds like he is going to follow his heart and steer clear of the ego driven stuff this time. Actually enjoyed Kelly's NC commentary during the game and post report. The way he was admiring Bama's defense, I think we made an impression. What do you think of our new OC?

I hope Kelly's change of mind has to do with a loyal heart, and it's not that he's waiting for a better offer.

I really like Chip, I think he is straight forward honest, with well placed priorities. Smart, he must know Oregon's a perfect fit for him.

The spectre of him leaving freaked me out, my trust was shaken, so I'm a little gun shy,.. but I think I'm going to like it, when he explains why he stuck around.

Offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier joined Sarkesian when he went to the University of Washington a couple of years ago.

He was Jake Locker's QB coach,.. personally I thought Locker didn't develop much under Nussmeier, but then again that was a very poor UW team.

Keith Price on the other hand developed quickly into a real good run heavy QB. I'm impressed with Sarkesian, he just made some fine assistant coach hires, (mostly former Ducks, alas).

Washington's offense was very good this year, I hear Nussmeier is also a fine recruiter, and again Sark knows how to pick em. So, my guess is,.. your purple dog was a good hire.

I hope that he's so great, that by leaving, the wheels fall off in Seattle.

    Sounds like a win, win.

Loyalty is where the heart is, but ambition can change how you feel. Frankly, I've learned that coach Saban is here until he's not. Either way, Bama will be trying to make inroads down that next NC highway. Of course as long as he stays, we should be in the passing lane.

"Some regional recruiting coverage, while waiting on Armstead" | Oregon Football with Rob Moseley | The Register-Guard

With signing day looming Wednesday, recruitniks are eagerly watching to see how the Ducks fill the final few spots in this year's class, and hoping that this afternoon highly regarded lineman Arik Armstead announces a commitment to Oregon.

....Players on the list who are uncommitted and thought still to be considering the Ducks: Armstead, DB Bryan Harper, DB Shaq Thompson....

Defensive line recruit Arik Armstead chooses Oregon Ducks | OregonLive.com

.... Armstead is close friends with safety recruit Shaq Thompson out of Grant High School in Sacramento. Thompson is rated as a Top 6 recruit by Rivals, Scout and 247Sports.

The consensus 5-star recruit originally committed to Cal but has since waffled and opened the door for Oregon and Washington to steal him away.

Many believe Thompson and Armstead, good buddies, might decide to play at the same college. Thompson has not announced when he will make his final announcement.

    ---------------

Wooooo,.. hope he actually signs, & Shaq too,.. Wooooo

Something you may not know, the SEC, actually puts out a manual entitled: "How to use big, fast, defensive lineman, to win consecutive BCS championships." Even comes with pictures, just in case Kelly accidentally puts him on the OL.

pictures of what?... and don't say trophies

Armstead's a good get for Oregon, a big name DL with huge potential,.. he's an excruciatingly rare pledge for the Ducks.

He helps Duck Basketball too. Pretty big news around here, Armstead's picture is on the front page of the Oregonian.
