Strange how it all worked out...

What if Kansas St. hadn't backed out of our scheduled game,.. allowing LSU vs Oregon. ---Oregon would have waxed the floor with K St, maybe a stronger rated Duck team meets undefeated LSU for the natty

What if Oregon had won the LSU game? ---again it might have led to, high rated Ducks vs SEC champ Tigers for the title.

Besides not showing up for Monday's game, what hurt you guys the most, was that all of the contending #2 teams kept losing. Finally LSU had to settle for... Alabama.

Odds are Tigers beat Ducks, or any of the others. Tough luck there.

For me, it definitely feels much better to win the Rose Bowl, than to lose the National Championship. It will make for a great off season, of course next year I won't be dreaming of Roses.

What about you guys?... gunna have a pretty good team?. Sugar?

Pretty disheartening everything going on. Think I'll be able to look forward to the season once everything shakes out and I know who will be here and have digested this whole mess. So unexpected and such a disappointing end. I feel bad for alot of kids in that locker room that worked really hard.

Tough on the kids, especially the seniors. It's a pity, they wrote a great book, but it had a sh!tty ending.

For passionate fans, it's a horrible way to end the season,.. I know, I'm you, from last year.

You're not us. Y'all scored last year. I guess it makes it worse when you consider the Dyer play but at least that isn't as embarrassing as not crossing the 50 until the 4th.

I don't see how I could have felt any worse. I didn't recognize the offense I saw playing against Auburn. It still bums me out sometimes.

Your Tigers are fine, improved offensive flow is all you need.

:)...in about 3 weeks we all get a bunch of new players.

HELMET FANS SHELL OUT THE GREEN | Shiny Rose Bowl reproductions sell out fast, but more are coming

The price is as blinding as the mirrored helmets themselves, just less than $1,000, but that hasn’t stopped Duck football fans from cleaning out the initial supply of replica helmets from the Rose Bowl game....They went on sale Thursday morning at the Oregon Ducks Online Store for $999.95. Store operators had conservatively ordered up to 10, and all were immediately snapped up....

....The Ducks’ helmets — a mirrored black finish created by a complicated multistep process — drew notice from the moment they were unveiled, yet another snazzy look for a team whose Nike-sponsored uniforms get plenty of press....The replica helmets are priced so high because the paint job is the same one used to create the actual team helmets,...

....The price does not seem to have discouraged some fans. A second batch of helmets — an unspecified but larger number — was ordered on Thursday, and those helmets also were quickly snapped up. Still more will be ordered.

“I don’t think they anticipated what great fans that we have,” he (store manager) said. “Anytime you put something unique in front of Duck fans, they’re going to gobble it right up.”

For those on a more modest budget, there are much smaller, 4.5-inch-high helmet replicas — with the same fancy paint job — available for a mere $149.

Thanks for the kind words GDF. It was very deflating to watch the game progress. I think what hurts the worst to me is the fact we had another QB with plenty of big game experience on the sideline and he was never give a shot. It's like saving a bullet in your gun and you get killed for not using it. Oh well, that whole drama from the Perriloux (sp?) disaster is over and done with.

Y'all look to be in great shape for next year. Hope to see y'all against us at the big dance. Please keep posting here. We enjoy having you around!!!

The only other college team helmet I would buy. Thing of beauty. Revolutionary. Not the last we will see of this mirrored finish I would imagine.
