So, what’s left for Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff?.. Big names, but limited spots.
The Ducks appear to be aiming at a class of 23 scholarship prospects, giving them two more spots with which to work

The Ducks are hyper-focused on Maryland four-star prospect Dont’e Thornton, the nation’s No. 6 wide receiver, and five-star defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau, the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect.
Five-star offensive lineman Bryce Foster, California four-star linebacker Jonathan Flowe and Utah three-star safety Jeffrey Bassa are also possibilities if there’s changes to the current roster or the recruiting class, but Thornton and Tuimoloau have taken center stage.

Of the two bluechip prospects, Thornton is the most likely to join the flock,.. Considered a possible package deal with new Oregon pledge Daymon David, a four-star safety out of Maryland, Thornton is widely believed to be strongly favoring the Ducks over the rest of the field,.. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound pass-catcher, out of Baltimore, Maryland, is set to announce his commitment at the All-American Bowl in January

Tuimoloau’s projection is a bit murkier,.. the 6-foot-5, 280-pound versatile defensive lineman, out of Sammamish, Washington, is likely to wait until 2021 to make a decision, signing during February’s traditional signing period... Ohio State is the presumed favorite, but the Ducks are making a serious push and are a real threat in his recruitment.

If Oregon were to miss on either of the two prospects, it would obviously create more wiggle room in the class, but until the two bluechip prospects make their (likely) late-in-the-process decisions, they are the two names to watch.

President Trump: Pac-12 football returning this fall is ‘great news’

Pac-12 men’s and women’s basketball will start 2020-21 season on Nov. 25, rather than early January

Oregon's newish stadium, Matthew Knight Arena, is known as,.. Matt Court
our prior stadium, MaCarthur Court,.. was known as Mac Court,.. nicknamed, the Pit

Mac Court is a great old wooden building built in the 1920's,.. people were packed in tight, it got incredibly loud, just roared, the fans would make the hanging scoreboard bounce up and down,.. I was at a game there where the referee made the court announcer threaten us with a technical if we didn't stop stomping our feet, because it made the basket bounce around when the bad guys were shooting free throws

it has a lower and middle area, and two balconies hung from the roof with steel rods,.. I was a bit late for a game against ucla once and had to sit in the 4th balcony, which was weird, seemed like I was looking straight down into the basket,.. it was a great close game, I was half going nuts excited about the game, and half fearing for my life because the balcony was swaying around so fucking much,.. ucla 107, oregon 103

Mac Court's still in use, it has fine acoustics, good place for concerts,.. Elvis played there

Oregon had plans to install the country's largest video screen in Autzen, supposed to have been ready by now, don't know the current status,.. lol, only the players could watch it, no fans allowed in Pac stadiums this year

EUGENE — Oregon football is already well on course for its return to the field.

A day after the Pac-12 announced its football season would kickoff Nov. 6-7, six weeks from now, the Ducks are set to resume two 20-hour weeks of preparation and training before opening camp Oct. 9.

“The timeline will be similar to what was proposed originally back for August when we first were hit obviously with the pandemic and what that would look like,” Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said during an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter Friday morning. "What that means, you’re basically looking at two weeks of working with a 20-hour rule where you have eight hours of strength and conditioning, an hour worth of walk-through a day, meeting time, skill instruction and then by I believe Oct. 8-9, you are allowed to start camp, which is exactly 29 days before game No. 1.

“So it really marries up well with the original plan and we’re going with it. Guys feel good about it and we’ve been training. Guys have been training; guys have been training on their own, the guys who were in town trained here. So we feel that we could be more than ready to play and play well come Nov. 7.”

The calendar laid out by Cristobal should allow for more than enough time for the Oregon Health Authority and Gov. Kate Brown to give final approve to the Pac-12′s protocols, which will be reliant on the arrival of Quidel’s Sofia 2 rapid antigen testing machines at each campus. That occurred throughout the conference this week and training staffs are being trained how to use the equipment.
