    Tuesday’s victory, which halted Seattle’s six-game winning streak, moved the surging Giants 1 1/2 games ahead of the Rockies for the eighth and final National League postseason spot with 17 games left to play.

    Health officials in two Pac-12 states would still have to sign off, too. So let’s allow two more weeks for bureaucracy to do its thing. That opens the door for the potential for the Pac-12 season to begin -- conservatively -- by Nov. 21.

    Still too late for playoffs and bowl games. Test everybody now, give the teams 2 weeks to practice and play ball. Since it would be an all conference game schedule everybody would be on equal footing. They can play themselves into mid season form by playing gamws

    the wheels of bureaucracy tend to turn slowly,.. the article did say, Nov. 21 conservatively,.. maybe by halloween?
