LOL I wondered why some on here had such a hate for Florida.

 

I just don't get it. If you want to wait while some moron with a single digit IQ pumps gas in all the cars in front of you so be it. But what good does it do the antipumpers to prevent those who want to pump their own gas from doing it.

First time I went to a gas station in Jersey I got out and grabbed the pump handle. I was still looking for the non existent credit card slot to pay for it when some goomba with a thick Joisey accent came out and started yelling at me. I felt like kicking his ass but I figured his connected Uncle Vinnie got him the job to give him a cover for his criminal activities so I didn't.

In the late 70's or early 80's my girl friend's mother was probably the last person in Baton Rouge to get a gas jockey at the last station not self service to pump her gas. She drove several extra miles past perfectly good self service stations to pay a lot more per gallon. She said she didn't know how to pump gas. The woman was an LSU graduate. She should have gone to Oregon to take some of those gas pumping courses.

 

The Florida parishes were never part of Florida. Spain got the territory from England and when the residents successfully revolted from Spain they named the area The West Florida Republic. For some reason it was not a part of the Louisiana Purchase.

 

LOL, I take it you have never priced the diesel option on a new vehicle.

 

So who uses the self checkout line at grocery stores? I was a cashier and nag boy in high school and can’t stand waiting in line while cashiers today fumble around. Self checkout is a godsend to me. I’m much faster than any cashier and bag my groceries correctly.

 

BTW I also pumped gas at Alecses Gulf on Perkins road....it was a bitch on Saturday morning when I was hungover
