some years ago, you and I went 15 rounds over your dislike of Oregon, we bumped heads many times,.. of late we've gotten along better, almost friendly a couple of times, I prefer to keep it that way, I won't respond to insults I will explain the no self-serve gasoline law though,.. it was instilled in the 1950's I think, the point being to protect/create jobs. The powers have tried to get it changed, it's been on the ballot many times, Oregon voters have overwhelmingly rejected all attempts to change the law, we like no self-serve. If you don't live here, you don't get to vote, we don't care what you think,.. and if you don't like being in Oregon, the solution is simple, get the fuck out
Like waiting five min for the pump jerk to finish the three cars ahead of you? Notice that most places with pump jerk laws are where its CaF? Not much of a prob in the south.
That’s usually not an issue because they mostly have a number of guys working. It also allows you to go grab a coffee while someone else does everything for you. I’m not saying self serve is a problem; I just can’t understand why it would be desired.
I just explained and you confirmed as much, "usually". Got better things to do than fk around at a gas station and waste money. My point is neither of you a choice. Pretend if you want but if the law didnt exist, the service would cease to exist. Much in the same way, union mandatory states extract dues directly from pay otherwise no one would pay.
you have a choice to buy a rig with a diesel engine, the law doesn't apply to diesel,.. in fact it's funny, pump gasoline yourself, the owner can be fined and you'll get yelled at, ,.. ask the same guy to pump diesel for you, and all you'll get is a dirty look
