that's beautiful, BB, a different world than mine Klamath Falls Crater Lake, an hour away we aint got no gators,.. but my county has the largest population of bald eagles in the continental United States, a lot of Golden eagles too 15 minutes away
There are places like the pics I posted within an hour of Baton Rouge, Plus a boat ride. I have never been to Oregon put I have seen places similar to your pics in Colorado. Place similar to mine in Florida. In fact parts of Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana up to Baton Rouge were once part of what was called West Florida. The parishes from the Mississippi border to Baton Rouge are called the Florida Parishes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_Parishes
when I was a little squirt, I was nuts about turtles, frogs, snakes, lizards, still kinda am, I'd have a ball exploring your lush country, touring around in a swamp boat would be this bigger kid's dream come true
Talk about heavy regulation.... Tried to buy from Napa a couple of bottles a few years ago and ran into road blocks - if the wine was assigned to a LA wholesaler it was forbidden - if the winery has not registered, approved, and paid the 'fee' to LA it was forbidden. If i would have lived in 40+ other States it would have been no issue.
That lake is awesome. If I visit Oregon again, it will be on my list. I was fortunate enough to hike the Multnomah Falls 6 mile loop trail in late fall of 2017 before the big fire that summer.
The best things about Oregon are the scenery and the beer. Or the beer and the scenery. Everything else, frankly, sucks. You can’t even pump your own gas in the state. If you do, some gas pumper will start screaming at you. I believe they offer major degrees in gas-pumping at the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. Lol Crater Lake is nice...if you like swimming in the 34 degree water! Too bad gators can’t survive in that. We could scare the shit out of these coullions!
