LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Bowl is moving to a new, bigger stadium next year, and will feature teams from the SEC or Big Ten facing a Pac-12 school.

The game will move to a post-Christmas date and be played at the $1.8 billion, 65,000-seat stadium being built just off the Las Vegas Strip for the NFL’s Raiders and UNLV football.

a Pac-12 selection to face an SEC team in 2020, 2022 and 2024.
a Pac-12 team will play a Big Ten representative in 2021, 2023 and 2025.

Vegas is a great place for a bowl game,.. the Pac's bball championship tourney is played there,.. every game's been a sellout

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel announced Wednesday that the arc will be moved to 22 feet, 1 ¾ inches for the 2019-20 season, matching the international distance. The 3-point line was last moved in 2008-09, extending a foot to 20 feet, 9 inches.

Bowlsby spoke on a commissioner's panel with the SEC commissioner and ACC commissioner at the annual National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics convention,.. Bowlsby said he thought it was a "colossal mistake" for the NCAA to set different transfer guidelines for different sports.

Football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and men's ice hockey transfers must sit out one year unless they apply to the NCAA for and are granted a waiver for immediate eligibility. Meanwhile, student-athletes in all other sports are allowed immediate eligibility without penalty, provided they only transfer once.

"There's a foundational mistake in all this that we ought to seek to fix," Bowlsby told the assembled group, adding if he was a "benevolent dictator" he would enact a rule that would make all transfers sit out one year.

I don't care about the athuletes, I care about the team, and what's healthy for the sports. If I had my way, if they're on scholarship they should be handcuffed to the school for 6 years,.. if they quit, then what they received on scholarship would convert into a financial aid debt.
