The Oregon Ducks won 48-28 over Arizona on Saturday. The Ducks rushed for 353 yards and Oregon's defense made Heisman Trophy contender Khalil Take look mortal. It was all inspired by Herbert, who returned for his first game since Cal to lead the Ducks into bowl eligibility.

"We were back to getting explosive plays that this offense thrives on," Taggart said. "That's how it was earlier in the year and it's good to have Herbert back to execute those plays we know we're capable of."

Oregon held Arizona QB Khalil Tate, to 32 rushing yards, he'd avg 154 yards per game. It was the return of Oregon's Justin Herbert from injury,.. the QB opened the scoring by busting a 40 yard rushing TD,.. man, it was good to see him back. Herbert had a pretty good game,.. 14-21, 235 yds, TD, Int. The lift he gave goes beyond the numbers though, The team had a totally different vibe, everybody was fired up. Herbert's 235 yards about matches the Duck's total passing yards tor the last 4 games.

it was a chippy game,.. Oregon was coming off a bye and fighting for a bowl berth. Arizona players expressed frustration during the week about Arizona commits who ended up at Oregon.

It led to an unusual amount of smack talk, some scuffles in the first half and multiple unsportsmanlike-conduct penalties.
