We never had a party line I guess because we didn't live out in the country but my dad talked about having one in the small town he grew up in.

If that was really your first phone you are a lot older than I thought.

Tirk, some good stuff here and I encourage researching and educating yourself for sure. The one part I didn’t see discussed is the effect of a fiber rich diet has on insulin. Fiber is thought to be a regulator of sugar. If you eat an apple, the apple has sugar, but also protein and fiber. The protein competes with the sugar for absorption and fiber sort of acts as a gatekeeper/toll booth so to speak. This allows slow entry of sugar, thus a controlled insulin response. Contrast that with apple juice - no protein or fiber, just sugar water. The sugar is unfettered, stimulates a shit load of insulin that then sends the excess sugar into storage (fat) and then sends signals to the brain saying “I’m not full”, stimulating more calorie intake.

So, the health benefits of fiber are less linked to the passage through the intestinal system itself, although it can help you feel full, and more to do with insulin. I would be thinking about fiber rich foods for that reason. I’m not a huge fan of fiber cereal for reasons mentioned in the article.

Last year udub beat the Ducks 70-29,.. Saturday, Huskies won 38-3,.. that's better, right? We played well in the first half, the second was ugly. We had 31 yards total passing,.. 31 fuck, that sums up our biggest problem.

Our top notch sophomore QB has missed 5 games with a broken collar bone, some speculation that he would play against Washington. Probably was wise not to rush him back, doubt we'd have won with him,.. huskies are near top 5 good.

Ducks have a bye next week, then finish at home vs Arizona and Oregon State,.. two winnable games. It's probable/I'm hoping, we finish 7-5 and go to the Las Vegas Bowl, (an espn guy matches us up there against Boise St, which would be fun). Justin Herbert's injury really took the wind out of our sails.

We've played a ton of freshman this year, Oregon's 2018 class is ranked #1 in the country by scout,.. I expect big improvement next year

When I was a kid we had one. I was a latchkey kid and one time needed to call my mom and someone was on the phone and wouldn't get off. When mom found out she cancelled it and got a single line

I remember that game. 94 was taunting someone and Legarrette Blount came up and smoked him.. I think that straight right to the jaw knocked him out old, IIRC. He just better be glad Blount had a glove on or he might have been sipping his meals for a couple of months.

So, how do you think Taggart's done up to now? Or is it hard to tell because of the injuries, especially to you're highly touted QB?

Yeah, I wanted to post something along those lines afterwards, but never done that before. Sure it’s not hard, just haven’t ever done it.

The team attitude is much better, I love what I'm seeing on defense, we really pressure the QB, with good solid tackling, a real improvement,.. down side is our young touted secondary is being chewed up every week, LB pass coverage too.

I haven't been impressed with our play calling, seems pretty vanilla,.. although we had next to no returning WRs or TEs. Duck fans are accustomed to seeing excellent punt and kick returns, this year nothing, very disappointing. Way way too many penalties on both sides of the ball.

I didn't realize how bare the cupboards were this year, I thought we had more. Taggart and staff have done well,.. but with Herbert back, if we don't win the next two games, the season will be a disappointment.
