Dang GDF....it will be rough this week. Bezerkeley isn't known for their female talent. In fact, I don't even want to search so I'm just going to go old school with the hot pole vaulter.

Ducks vs Arizona State,.. Thursday at 7:30 pacific ESPN

Turnovers, blitz to play big role in Arizona State vs. Oregon matchup
.....Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost estimated that the Sun Devils blitz on 55 to 60 percent of snaps, and that kind of pressure has allowed Arizona State to record 23 sacks already this season.... But at the same time, Arizona State has given up 38 plays of 20-plus yards, so the opportunity for big plays is there......

....Two months ago some might’ve said this could be a Pac-12 title game preview, given that Oregon was ranked No. 7 and Arizona State No. 15 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll. Instead this game features two 4-3 teams who’ve lost two conference games apiece....

 The media claims its ASU's turnovers vs Duck's defense,.. but I think the key to the game is going to be "pressure on the QB". To say the least, Arizona State is heavy on blitzing, protecting Vernon Adams is a must. Pressuring the ASU QB will take the pressure off the Oregon secondary.

This will be a fun game,.. Ducks will prevail!

Good game last night, that one Duck got run the F over though, little controversy on that catch, but I didn't see enough evidence to overturn it.

Regarding the disputed catch, it kinda looked like the toe came down out of bounds. I didn't hear the announcers talk about this, and I couldn't find an answer online,.. my question is,.. the receivers heel came down in bounds clearly before his toe touched down, is this not a legal catch?

In a prior game, ASU was accused of stealing play signals from the sidelines. This was the Duck's response.

I think it's foot down, doesn't matter where the heel and toe are its all part of the foot, the back view would have been clear but a cameraman's microphone or lighting stick or whatever that was blocked the view. Had it been called OOB on the play the catch wouldn't have counted because there was nothing to show that it was clear either way due to the blockage. So while the call on the field may have been wrong the replay official made the correct call.

This is how the PAC-12, Divisional races stand.

In the North, Stanford has the clear edge,.. the Ducks have an outside shot at the North Title,.. Oregon needs to win out. That means beating Stanford on Saturday,.. defeating USC, and then the Beavs. To be North Champs Stanford needs to win against Oregon, or against the Cal Bears. Washington State is out of contention because of how the tie-breaker rules play out.

In the Southern Division: Utah is a game up on the Southern California schools and basically controls its own destiny. The Utes play Arizona this weekend before returning home to face UCLA in a game that will go a long way in determining how the division will shake out. If the Bruins can defeat Washington State Saturday, it will set up the pivotal game against Utah. If the Bruins and the Trojans both win over the next two weeks (that means the Bruins beat Utah) the season capping, USC/UCLA game will decide the South.

And that's the PAC situation,.. Go Ducks
