Oregon's run defense has been stout all year,.. the best in years, (many).

Duck's running game is top notch,.. Royce freeman is big strong fast, NFL caliber. Taj Griffen is faster, I haven't seen much of him, but he looks great. Thomas Tyner is out this year, but he too is NFL material. Three youngins with excellent potential backing up.

Our kickoff man is excellent, booms them deep into the end-zone every-time,.. we've never had it so good
Field goal kicker has made 13 straight,.. we've never had it so good.

Oregon secondary is very young and very soft,.. that coupled with our inability to pressure the opposing QB means we are in trouble.

With Vernon Adams out indefinitely with a broken index finger, our QB situation is a mess,.. Jeff Lockie, senior, throws poorly on the run, makes bad decisions, and doesn't exude confidence. Our yound QB's aren't even in the picture. Taylor Alie, senior walkon, is playing half the game snaps,.. he's never been anything other than our extra point holder and scout team QB,.. we are in deep trouble.

We have a couple of games against not so good teams, (Washington State, Washington) then the schedule gets much tougher,.. we are in very deep trouble.

More than you want to know about my home town

Klamath Falls Oregon, population 49,000,.. A beautiful place,.. looks a lot like tv's Ponderosa,(20 miles East of here is the little town of Bonanza), A very dry climate, only getting about 10-12 inches of rain a year, but we've got all the seasons, including cold snowy winters.

Too bad the place is mostly filled with backward people. Way too many socially conservative Republicans and Oregon State Beaver fans. Klamath votes for Republican Senators, Congressmen, and Presidents, (Cheney/Bush bumper stickers are still seen here). Always against any progressive proposition, voted against legalizing recreational marijuana, and of course anything pro-environmental is a no, (here the EPA is a four letter word), hysterical anti-wolf, pro farmer, pro rancher, pro business, pro hunter, pro redneck,.. Klamath Falls glows bright red in a very blue State,.. but the scenery is very pretty.

Klamath Falls is very isolated geographically,.. Fanning out east from Klamath Falls for hundreds of miles is high desert, where there are more deer than people. Eugene is 180 miles by car north, and west of the Cascade Mountain Range. On the Eastern slope of the mountains 200 away is the fast growing city of Bend, where Portland's population overflows into the Eastern side. 50 miles West of KF, on the other side of the mountains is the affluent Hippie town of Ashland, (like normal hippies except they drive his and her hybrids).

To the South 80 miles, hugging the Western flank of Mt. Shasta is Weed, California,.. the large area west/south of Weed is known as the Emerald Triangle, one of the world's premier cannabis growing regions,.. birthplace of Purple Kush and other fine strains.
