    Hey man,

I found #'s on DeAnthony Thomas:

12 rushing plays 103 yds TD

    8 receiving 140 yds 2 TD

Seems like there should be more, add about 90 yds for punt/kickoff returns.

De T. was electric today, one of the announcers was so excited about the "mamba", he called LaMichael James, "their other guy".

Slow down Duck. It's Missouri State. Arky beat them by virtually the same score (51-7) and they lost to Eastern Kentucky, which got beat by Chattanooga yesterday. That wasn't a test. It tells you nothing other than your offense works against outclassed opponents. Remember who you're talking to.:yelwink2:

.... nope, not a test,.. I had to force myself to watch.... [IMG]

young players got needed reps, and it was fun, watching De T. ripping off huge gains.

Next up the Arizona Wildcats,... who seem to have no running game.....

That game is in the desert, where they hate us.

Two years ago, at Arizona, the Ducks pulled off a great comeback win in overtime.

With less than a minute left in the game, Oregon faced a 4th and long, the game was on the line. Arizona fans began rushing the field,.. Oregon made a first down, continuing the drive that tied the game. Officials forced fans back,.. but they were pissed. A double overtime loss made them feel worse.

Fans started throwing things, expecially plastic water bottles. One of our cheerleaders was struck in the head and knocked unconscious for about an hour. She was ok, but her concussion kept her off the team for 2 weeks.

It was a very ugly scene, and it seemed like it was going to get worse.

    GDF...
I certainly respect your passion for your team and belief that it is an elite program. But the excitement over beating whomever made me think about what we consider quality wins here at LSU. The bar is very high.

So my question is what wins by Oregon the last few years do you consider quality wins over elite programs? Not trying to be a jerk but I can't remember the Ducks ever winning a big game. And I am too lazy to do much research past last year!!

Remember, he made this thread specifically to be a place he can post stuff about his school. Sticking around a SEC board when you're a Pac-12 guy can be . . .hard let's say. I don't think he intended to have to spend the most time on this board defending his team.

I'd rather him stick around as a great poster and have one thread he can be a homer in than feel the need to go back to Oregon boards. Not saying that you're being a jerk. This was meant more as a general post to everyone.

As far as signature wins, I dunno what's considered signature but they beat USC, a #4 ranked Stanford team, and Tenn last year.

Year before that they beat an #18 ranked Utah team and #22 ranked USC.

Keep in mind also that in '07 Oregon beating USC is one of the reasons we were able to make it to the BSCNCG and holding one of our trophies.

I don't believe Oregon is an elite program. The Ducks are on the rise, and people are watching. That is the level we are on.

Two years ago we clobbered USC at Autzen with Gameday and the country watching. That established us as the top team in the conference. That game felt special.....Oregon reafirmed dominance over USC last year, beating them again in Los Angeles, on prime time TV.

Our best win was last year's game against Stanford, again with Gameday and national coverage. Oregon fell behind 21-3, and then blew Stanford away, 52-31. It was a big statement by the Ducks, essentially, that game put Oregon into the National Championship. It was Stanford's only loss of the season.

There have been other big wins, Oregon beat Michigan in consecutive years, and Oklahoma (sorta).

I get your point though, which is why I would admit the Ducks havn't arrived yet.

Until we win the big BCS games we're only contenders.

Honestly, to everybody... if you leave the insults at home,... I will happily talk your ear off,... I enjoy the dialogue.

I have no problem with TigerSnarl's post in any way.
