    bump:

Many of us like playing college pick-em, the problem is it's a lame game. If you miss a week, you've fallen behind and might as well quit. I'd like to try something different.

    Introducing,.. duck's weird college pick-em...

all players receive at least 4 points each week,.. if you miss a week(s) and don't pick,.. you get 4 pts... if you picked four or less winners,.. you get 4 pts.

The only way to get more than 4 pts,.. pick more than 4 games correctly.

I'll keep track and post results.

There's still enough football left, maybe this will be fun.

Are Duck fans "worse" than other fans? Maybe,.. but probably not. I was at a game at Autzen, our fans were giving some Huskie fans the business, and the udub fans were firing right back. It was good natured and pretty funny,.. then a drunk asshole got too excited, too vulgar, overly insulting, went way too far and ruined the fun for everyone else. But, it wasn't the fault of the other people, it was a person, one stinky individual, it's not right to cast blame on everyone in the stadium and the rest of Oregon fans too. Are there more assholes at Autzen then other stadiums?.. probably not.

Speaking of which, Jon Canzano wrote the initial article, why did he? He got a letter, a letter from a guy who had a bad experience with obnoxious fans. With nothing better to do, Jon got his creative juices flowing, played an angle, and voila, his article was picked up by FOX and went nationwide. So Canzano's happy, he cares about his career, doesn't really care if he makes the people in his home state look like shit.

All done now, bit of a rant, Richdog,.. bye weeks always bum me out.

    Oregon 51, Stanford 34.

Hint: too many fast twitch muscles on the Oregon O.

    What you got, GDF?

Hey Izzy,.. 51 sounds about right for the Ducks, Mariota will employ longer pass routes than last year, DAT will probably be used mostly at receiver. It's gonna be a pretty good show, I think we break multi big plays early, take a nice lead, and then our RB's are gonna tear em up.

I don't think the Cardinal are near as good at RB nor Receiver compared to last year. I think the Ducks limit Stanford's running game, pick off a couple of their passes and hold them to 20 points.

No contest, I think we cruise.

They were talking today on one of the college football shows about how the Ducks front 7 is the best it's ever been. Bigger and more physical. Something they lacked in the past.

And I told you early in the season that I thought Mariota's ability to throw the ball better than last year would be a difference and I think we will see that on display tomorrow night. As you said, it will open up the running game (which doesn't need much help to begin with) big time.

Oregon fan is a disaster inside of Oregon. Big talking with no one around the country listening. Put them outside the PNW, and they shut up real fast. I know too many people who swear they will never attend an Oregon game in Eugene again due to the boorishness of the fans. The stories have grown to become legion, which is why Canzano, who is an absolute idiot in his own right, wrote the article. Oregon fan is too often self-entitled and obnoxious. Not everyone of course, but too many of them. Odd for a group that has won exactly nothing. But maybe it is not so odd. I am sure they feel like someone else is to blame for them winning exactly nothing. That would be the oregon way - blame someone else. Never take accountability or responsibility.

As for the we want Bama shirts, after tonight's loss to Stanford, someone suggested that the shirt be changed to read "we want mama".

Most of these people admitted the loss to LSU for about a day. Then they said they would beat us in a rematch. 2011. Now they are busy running around telling everyone that they would be Bama, no question. Maybe being so far away from the rest of the country just warps your mind when it comes to self. If Bama plays FSU in the BCSNCG, it will be almost like a neighborhood brawl, especially if you are anywhere near Mobile and the Florida Panhandle. I'd pay to watch those rednecks go at each other in their big trucks. lol
