Last year before the Tigers played the Huskies, there was a Washington thread. The question was asked, "what do we know about Washington?" One of the responses was absolutely priceless.
"They have very good athletes on the offensive side of the ball. Guys who aren't quite good enough to go play in Chip Kelly's offense go to U-Dub."

Seattle calls itself the King City, and that sums it up, it sees itself as King of the Northwest. Fans in Seattle have always looked down their noses at the other NW schools,.. especially Oregon. For years they blocked our admittance into the Pacific Coast Conference and since have shit on Oregon just about every chance they got.
The enemy of our enemy is our friend. Through the years an alliance has formed between Washington State fans and Oregon fans due to our shared hatred of the Fuskies. Oregon State, well they hate the Ducks most of all, so when we play the dawgs,.. Beaver fans wear purple.

mostly ripped From Wikipedia: Although the schools began playing each other in 1900, the rivalry became heated in 1948, when Oregon and the University of California tied for the best record in the
Pacific Coast Conference. The winner of the PCC, would play in the
Rose Bowl. The tiebreaker format the PCC used was that the championship team be elected by the schools. In the PCC there were 10 teams, 6 of them were in the northwest and the other 4 in California, so it was assumed that Oregon would be the team playing in the Rose Bowl. Instead California was voted champion of the PCC because the University of Washington had talked the University of Montana, then a member of the PCC, into voting for California, something that has not been forgotten by Oregon fans.
In 1962, Larry Hill, of Oregon, was tackled
by Washington fans who had rushed onto the field while he was trying to catch the game winning touchdown.
In 1995, Washington head coach
Jim Lambright very loudly lobbied for the Huskies to be selected to play in the Cotton Bowl instead of the Ducks. Seattle Post Intelligencer columnist Bud Withers wrote that Lambright's actions "invited at least another half-century worth of bile from Oregon fans."
In 2002 the rivalry grew even more when Washington coach Rick Neuheisel celebrated a win at
Autzen Stadium by taking photos of the stands, then called his team to midfield, where they mocked us by jumping up and down on the Oregon"O". UW won the next year too, and again rubbed it in our faces.
