your friend jesus might disagree with that mentality. but he wouldnt be suprised. he probably already knows the extent to which the whole game is a fraud.

 

he's your friend too. don't feel so left out.

 

When I hear about ANY woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer I personally think about the long ordeal my mother went through in struggling with it. I think of the tough times that are ahead for the Edwards family and empathize with them. I DO actually care about the woman as I care about most other people and their well-being.

i dont have much empathy. i do not care. i care about me.

Martin I would like to know, you live in New York, and have stated that you were not too far from the World Trade center.
When both towers were coming down, what was going through your mind?
Sorrow, or pity for the people inside, or regret for the loss of 2 landmarks on the city skyline.
From the statements you make on these forums, I really have no idea how you will answer this.

Martin, you need to re-examine your view on this one. Just because someone says that a celebrity is in their prayers does not mean that they are going to labor day and night next to their bed praying for them. I hate the Edwards, but they are in my prayers. Does that mean I ran to Church when I heard about this? No....

But what I did do is recall all the pain I have gone through when someone I know gets cancer or it recalls the pain I see others go through and I relate it to that "celebrity" I just heard about...

 

look, everyone's grandpa died of cancer. i know mine did. i am not suggesting anyone is irrational for caring about that.

i see no reason to care more about celebrities than any other random person i have never met. if you do, good for you. you deserve the caring award.

where is the thread for random person x who has cancer? i guess we concede we dont have time for that.

i wont even address the prayer issue anymore. its just too insane, and you people never listen, instead you act like lunatics.

 

But sort of back to the subject, I know most of you do not care for Edwards because he is a Democrat and because he was a trial lawyer, but he has been through a lot. His son died in a car accident at 16 when they were on their family vacation in the outer banks of North Carolina. Cancer is such a killer, I sure hope she makes it because I think Edwards is a decent guy, most of you don't see it, but he did a lot of good in North Carolina.
