I agree with Red about the current Republican party and it's sad because it limits my choices. There seems to be an ebb and flow to political currents and right now the Republicans are taking their turn at crazy. The dems have had their turns too so that is no knock on the Republican party. The Republicans need to drop the religious right element of their party and move forward because that is what drags them down and makes them look nuts.

I think it really doesn't matter what Romney does in this instance. Even if Romney release the returns and they are so clean you can operate on them, his real income will be out there for everyone to see, and for the Dems to hold over his head and paint him as being out of touch for having money.

But that was before Smooth Billy demonstrated he was pro 'on the job interns porking'. Something that would have gotten him fired at any corporate job. And its also something that Democratic and Republican women complained about for years - sexual harassment on the job.

EDIT NOTE - After Martin caught my error i changed internists to interns

We are at the mercy of the passionate elements of each party. And I wouldn't exactly agree that the Dems turn is in the past.

the dems definitely have the wacko element of their party too but the mainstream dems seem to be more common sense oriented right now. republicans are shedding moderate republicans left and right in favor of tea party candidates. don't worry, the dems will wear out their welcome soon enough......they always do.

The death of Teddy Kennedy seems to have taken the wind out of the sails of the wacko left and the success of Bill Clinton has converted many a knee-jerk liberal into a pragmatic populist.
