I'm not a democrat. Your memory loss is getting worse. In this case Obama has released his taxes. What hypocrisy?

You keep saying that. When I see even one opinion of yours that is not in lock step with the party line, I'll beleive it.

Obama has sealed personal records. Ya know. Kinda like Romney has.

    Gun control.

Look I have voted republican many times in the last 40 years. It depends on their proximity to center and their pragmatism. Today's republican party is so far out of line that independents are looking to moderate democrats instead. Hillary would kick Romney's Mormon ass badly. Ronald Reagan would not recognize this GOP.

Even here you claim you support regulations which are "reasonable," as if that means something.

I'm an independent bro, and while I railed against the irresponsible practices of the Neo-cons I am capable of recognizing that the Democrats are continuing the failed Neo-con policies they continue to blame the current economic situation on. You seem to think Obama has brought something different to the table, and he has. The letter behind his name.

That's the point of the article. It's not about "playing it smart" and running the PR gambit. No one governs anymore, they just bash each other. You must not have read the article.

Reid won't reveal his source because there is no source. This a fabricated ploy to redirect the attention and put some heat on Romney.

He is in a lose - lose situation. If he does not release his taxes for how ever long the democrats say he should go back to, then something must be up. That is stupid suspicion on anyone's part. Make up an accusation, demand evidence to the contrary, raise an eyebrow when its not provided. If he does release his tax records then the democrats will be able to comb through them and twist another tale of evil rich corruption.

His records could be without fault but by releasing them he has capitulated to democrat demands and will have to do so again the next time a douche like Reid or Pelosi rumors something else. The Democrats are not hoping to uncover fraud. They could care less. It all about the drama.

But to be fair, Bush and his swift boat vets made it acceptable to do so.

It means something to most of us.

You do not grasp my politics at all. Don't even try to imagine. How stupid is it to insist that I'm a democrat when I know that I'm not? Do you really think you will convince me to go change my affiliation at the court house and then sign up with the party?

I simply prefer the democrats to the republicans at present. That has changed before and will no doubt change again. But right now the Republican party denies science, promotes creationism, denies global warming, and promotes tax breaks for billionaires. It refuses to compromise in a federal democracy, thinks they have a right to tell families when to reproduce, and rashly engages in outdated colonial occupational warfare instead of overt diplomacy and covert action. The new republicans are not pragmatic, intellectual, or tolerant of contrary opinion. I can't vote for them.

That doesn't mean that I advocate the entire platform of the democratic party. But there are more moderate democrats than moderate republicans and many moderate independents are leaning left at present for that reason. With no moderate third party and the republicans being fucked in the head, we must vote for democrats.

Outside of the meaningless social issues you have described BOTH parties. Can't you see this? Can you also not see the economic policies being pushed by the republicans today are not the same ones being pushed 6 years ago. George W. Bush would not recognize this Republican party.
