Where fossil fuel plants and infrastructure weren’t winterized they failed. The only nuclear plant that tripped did so because a sensor failed. I think this failure has two sources. The first and most important was the lack of ERCOT’s effective planning and preparation. The second is to determine how much an event like this should be expected. When are you expected to foresee such an event and address a response?
