In Michigan Trump's poll watchers were made to stay 25 feet away. Too far to see the paper ballots. Even in a situation where it is all legit how do you verify a signature if you don't have their driver's license or other govenment ID to compare it to?
why are you telling me about michigan's fucked up system?.. there are no poll watchers in oregon, no polling stations, no line of people waiting to vote, our system is entirely vote by mail in Oregon, a representative of the republican and democratic parties, set next to each other at a table, in the county courthouse, both compare the signature on every ballot envelope, with the one on the voter registration form
Mail itself is unreliable. The USPS frequently loses mail. They have lost mail both to me and from me that was important and their incompetence cost me money. I bought something for over $100 that I wanted to return for a refund. I used Priority Mail with tracking The mail got to Tampa, FL and was put on a truck for delivery. It disappeared and I never got my money back That wasn't the only time.
