To be clear she would be President only as long as it took to decide the election. She would not be President for long. That said, I have no doubt there are people who would want to split the country up over it and have another civil war.
To be perfectly honest, I don't recall the source. I should have cited it then while I was looking at it. I've tried googling the same things to see if it would come up again but to no avail. I have read other accounts that agree with yours. Either scenario is highly unlikely since we've never delayed an election, even during other pandemics and world wars. There are also a lot of moving parts in every scenario so it could go either way I suppose.
I was talking to a friend of mine that is on OKCPD. They had a dust up here about 6 weeks ago or so, nothing compared to Portland or Seattle. Anyway, he told me they were firing tear gas canisters and the punks would grab them and throw them back at the Police. There were about 8 cops in his line and he told one of them "the next kid that picks up a canister gets a bean bag in the chest" well the next kid picked up a canister and all of them shot him with bean bags. They didn't throw any more back at the cops.
Shouldn't there be a timer in the cannisters so they would go off before the bad guys had a chance to pick them up?
We've held elections in pandemics before. Hell, we've held elections during World Wars. Our entire Military votes by mail. I disagree with this assessment and I've posted a podcast from Nate Silver that details all the reasons why there isn't a silent majority.
It's not a scheme. It's the law. I didn't make that scenario up. And speaking of character, you are about to vote for Donald Trump again so your character and judgement are on the line, pal. I am a proud veteran and you can go to hell for all I care. I love this country and I'll be damned if I let people like you and Trump impose your will on the majority of us. Amazing how that works too bad the Portland cops can't do any of that. Maybe feds can lobe a few canisters soon.
