I think the issue will not be so much who we can get, but who other schools, that were more in the running for some of those guys can pick off. If "all" the top recruits go to FL, then, in a way, that is good, only one team benefits. Spreading out the wealth could have greater negative effects on us by making more schools viable. hwr
In the end, I think they'll lose one or two guys but not much. Now if this had happened at Auburn, we would be sitting in the catbird seat with both Trovon and Lache.
Florida has taken its first direct recruiting hit since Coach Urban Meyer's weekend flip-flop. Matt Elam, a Palm Beach, Fla., safety ranked the nation's [#2 safety and] No. 14 overall prospect by Rivals.com [on the Rivals100], has decommitted from Florida...Elam dumped the Gators for Florida State [ESPN had him as the #2 ATH and #13 overall prospect... Scout had him as #1 safety recruit in the nation] ... "I was strong on Florida, that's where I wanted to be and then when this happened I was like dang," Elam told Warchant.com Thursday. "I was supposed to be enrolling there in about 10 days but I had a bad feeling about things when he said he was coming back, I didn't feel comfortable with that. I didn't want to get in and get stuck, that was really scaring me." http://www.fannation.com/si_blogs/f...a-hits-florida-gators-recruiting?xid=si_ncaaf
