For head coach? I don't think so... Maybe as an O.C., but trust me, he's no SEC Head Coach

No, I meant I like Mike Leach staying at WAZZU. I can see where you took me as saying I want Mike Leach as HC.

I live in Lubbock, where he coached Texas Tech. He's horrible with the local media and with the administration. He wound up suing Tech when they fired him. We don't want that guy as Head Coach. I don't think he's a great recruiter either. He's a weird guy. O.K. at a 2nd tier school, but not for LSU.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with just about everybody. This shouldn't be put on Coach O at all. This is on the players, especially Guice, his fumble in the first half killed a TD opportunity. If we score there it's 14 - zip and they have no momentum. Then the last play of the game, Guice appeared to not know what the play was. As far as not ready to play I say "BS," we stopped their opening drive and scored on our first possession, looked like we were ready to play to me. Next drive going in for another score Guice fumbles, momentum goes to Florida and we have a game on our hands. Then we have a fumbled FG try, that looked to me to be on the holder, Jackson's kickoff fumble. D stepped up on the last 2 Florida drives and held them to FG's. Then, the end of the game looked like it was going to be a dream come true, Etling and Chark (who in my opinion is going to go down as one of the best receivers in LSU history) convert on 4th and long. We get down on the goal line and can't make 1 yard on 2 tries because of execution and an inspired Florida defense (gotta give credit to the bastards). I didn't see anything that made me think we were uninspired and/or not ready to play. We got beat by our own mistakes and a determined Florida. football team.

I was looking for a toss wide, that's why I think the action to Moore might have been misdirection. What about trying to hit the Tight End on 3rd down, and running power on 4th down? I know, hindsight is 20/20.......

That's what peepeekaka has been saying and I pretty much agree.

if we would have put them 3 wide there it really would have opened up our options, even if we decided to run it.

Its just piss poor play calling.

While your assessment may be spot on, O needed to basically win out minus the bama game to have a shot. To lose at home, to a banged up and depleted gator squad won't resonate well. LSU faces another stiff defense at aTm in a few days, odds are now stacked against O.

Fair enough.... but that still doesn't mean we should hire Ed Orgeron. To me (and a lot of others), he had to do something exceptional to win the Head Coaching job. Today, he didn't get it done.

Is Reese still an active Air Force base? I was stationed there in the late '60s. I saw Leach's half time interview of the CU - WSU game. He's indeed a strange dude. I can't see him in Baton Rouge.
