The offense is a work in progress. You can see Joe Burrow growing into the role and getting better game by game. I am very pleased with the play of Nick Brossette and Clyde Edwards-Helaire but we need to get Curry more involved. If he is really Baby Beast Mode it's time to release the beast. The OL could be good enough if everybody would stay healthy but it is what it is. Dropped passes by the WR's are a big problem that needs to be fixed pronto. What's up with 73 year old so-called WR whisperer Jerry Sullivan? Defense has been great with a couple of obvious lapses. When Grant Delpit left the game you could see an immediate difference. When healthy Delpit is every bit as good as Jones, Landry, Reid and Adams. I can foresee playing just well wnough to handle Ole Miss. Florida might be a better team than is obvious but if we handle our business in the Swamp and stay focused we should be 6-0 going into the UGA game. That's when running on 5 or 6 cylinders won't win the race. Team needs to grow leaps and bounds by then. Fix the drops problem and get the big uglies healthy. Remaining laser focused for the 3 game gauntlet from Georgia to Alabama will be a challenge for the players and the coaches. For the first time in years I don't dread that R Kansas follows Bama on the schedule, mostly because the piggies are really that bad. I can see going into the aTm game with a New Years 6 bowl on the line but it's going to take a hell of a lot of work to make that much improvement.
Hope K'Lavon Chaisson will return and be fully recovered. He will be draft eligble but no way he gets picked very high without another season of college ball. Fulton will also be draft eligible. If he improves the rest of the season to the point where he lives up to his signing day expectations I could see him leaving too.
There ain’t but one or two draft eligible guys on this LSU squad that will go very high if they declare after the season. All of them could benefit from another season at LSU.
This is where Orgeron can make a big difference. I’m not saying he should hold back the Fournettes and Guice’s of the world. But if he can stop the trend of juniors leaving prematurely that don’t get drafted or picked up as free agents that would be nice https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/lsu/article_c7ee064c-477f-11e8-9ab3-2f8cfb40b952.html
My doctor, doctor Vinnie Boom Batz wanted a stool sample, urine sample, and a siemen sample...I left him my underwear
George Schroeder wrote for the Eugene Register-Guard,.. when the Ducks got in trouble a while back, Schroeder went after Oregon like a slathered up rottweiler,.. muchly irked a lot of us, I don't know that we drove him away, but we're glad he left. He's not a sports fan, he's a Schroeder fan,.. see, he still pisses me off
