Look... I am not a fan of O. In all honesty, I will probably never be a fan of O. I never wanted him here even as d-line coach and recruiter. I look at where he has been as a coach, the people he surrounds himself with and I don't want any part of that. Miami, yeah they won but do you remember what the culture of that team was... thug life. USC, again, they won but ultimately weren't playing by the rules... See Reggie Bush. Then he tied himself to and followed Lane Kiffin around... that's a wonderful example to follow. And finally, the author of the much ballyhooed binder and O's "Special Advisor", Derek Ponamsky... the convicted felon. I don't trust him. Maybe he has learned from all of that... maybe not. I just don't believe that a premiere program like LSU should be paying to find out if he has learned from his past. My problem with TigerFan lately is with only one person. And I didn't say it was unbearable to say anything bad about O, If you mention anything that's a concern such as play calling, redzone offense, lack of consistency, or anything of the sort, you are told that you are an idiot, don't understand football and you just hate Orgeron and Ensminger. Nevermind the fact that Orgeron himself admits that we have issues that need to be addressed in order to win in the SEC. And when one of those posts are made, whatever discussion was happening in that thread is then over and you have 20 posts with people sticking their tongues out at each other and calling each other poo poo head. It's tiresome. I don't have a problem with you, LSUpride123 or anyone else who is an Orgeron fan or has chosen to take a positive outlook. Although I do like to give LSUpride123 some shit occasionally... i mean... for God's sake, he has a weird obsession with corndogs for some reason. All that being said, we are winning and I have tried to not hate on Orgeron openly. I can't be held responsible for any overreacting posts on gameday though. I love my Tigers and there is just too much emotion. I yell at my TV and I will yell at you too.
That article puts a lot into perspective, but it is also very troublesome. Between the '13-'14 seasons LSU lost 18 underclassmen, 32 in the last 6 seasons total. That is a trend that needs to be stopped or LSU will never compete for a SECC again. And Miles led the culture...
Rabalais: Yes, Ed Orgeron has proven he's the right coach to lead LSU -- so far | LSU | theadvocate.com https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/lsu/article_1f822b74-c113-11e8-8bc3-17d43833d7fd.html
One of them has toned it down after a bit of grumbling and the other had to go sit in the corner. Still, we are all Tiger fans but with different opinions. A certain amount of smack is to be expected. Who among us has never been in a heated barroom sports argument? Most of that stuff doesn't bother me but some people have a lot thinner skin than me.
I believe we match up with Bama better than anyone on bama's schedule and have the DC required to beat them, their secondary can be had.
Man, the last time talk on a forum bothered me, I think I was still on dial-up (AOL). At some point I realized I really didn't give a damn what people think about me or my opinion since I probably would never meet anyone there anyway. LOL In person though, I've seen some pretty heated battles in a sports bar. Even rising to the point of throwing hands. But those were always much younger guys 18-20-somethings.
