That might be a little strong, but I like him as a candidate. There are several hundred coordinators in CFBall , and I don't see Kiffen on the 2016 best list.

    This.

He certainly seems to favor the run over the passing game, but like Aranda I feel that's more a product of what he has to work with. He seems to be the kind of coach to build the scheme to fit the personnel. At Wisconsin, Monte Ball was the catalyst for an offense that featured the running game. At NC State, the offense went through Jacoby Brissett and the passing game was successful, with a stout running game. At Pitt, he has a "game manager" QB who is completing 60% of his passes with 26 TDs and 6 Ints that focusing on getting the ball to the skill players in space. The common tenets to his offenses are they execute and they score points. If you listen to him talk, he explains his philosophy as keeping things simple for his offense while complicating things fopr the defense.

Sound like any other coordinator you know?

So, in summary Canada is not flashy. He is however, effective regardless of the level of competition, talent or conference. Supposedly Tennessee was after him a couple years ago. He was left go at NC State after the 51-28 loss to Miss State, but no one is sure why. Most felt the DC should have been let go. He was unemployed for all of 5 minutes before his buddy Pat (from No. Illinois) brought him to Pitt.

That's what high school coaches do. In college, you recruit to fit your scheme, not recruit then piece a scheme together.

@TigerTap At the point when I think it's impossible for you to post anything dumber & more irrelevant than what you have previously posted, BOOM, you do it. You and others like you are responsible for our rating as a fan base. Go steal a Bama jersey.

You have to be somewhere long enough to recruit to your scheme. A new coach adjusting his offense to fit the personnel he inherited sounds pretty smart to me, especially after years of watching Miles try to force a sqare peg into a round hole.

Saying his name gives him power. At least the power to jerk off to his Miles and Saban posters.

I agree but that wasn't what I read it to mean. If it was, my bad.

Oh and Miles doing it was the first thing that crossed my mind.

I bet we see a bunch more in the bowl game. A lot of Dee Anderson, Divinity, White, hopefully Smith. I liked seeing Gage in there as well.

Living in a town that's 2/3 UK and 1/3 Louisville fanbases I really need for the good guys to roll given that Jackson has won the Heisman. It's unbearable enough here during basketball season
