Looks promising, though I don't know what kind of O Canada runs. I hope it is a dynamic pro-style that keeps the D guessing but still allows us to have a solid run game, control the clock, and attract top QB, WR, TE, OL, and RB talent. http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/lsu-football/lane-kiffin-out-matt-canada-a-possibility-for-lsu/
This sounds promising. "Under Canada, the Panthers led the nation in red zone touchdown percentage (82.7%). His QB Nathan Peterman has a 26-6 TD-INT ratio and led the ACC in QB rating -- topping Heisman winner Lamar Jackson, as well as touted NFL prospects Mitch Trubisky, Deshaun Watson and Brad Kaaya" https://www.google.com/amp/www.foxsports.com
And here is a short interview with a reporter. http://www.espn.com/blog/acc/post/_...nding-ways-to-use-all-pitts-offensive-weapons
Here is some background on his Pitt profile page. He definitely sounds worth interviewing and I'm seeing all the talking heads saying it would be a good hire. Pitt gans are saying it would be very bad if they lost him. http://www.pittsburghpanthers.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/matt_canada_997795.html
This guy has been on the short list for hiring if kiffy doesn't work out. Sounds like he works well under defensive minded coaches, likes to run the ball but doesn't forget/dismiss the passing game. This kiffin thing is getting old, shit or get of the pot
No word on why he was let go from NC State, the offense was putting up good numbers and he had just signed an extension. I hope it was not for any ethical issues. O needs to do something our QB recruits are dropping like flies. Both Brennan and Narcisse claim the unstable situation has them concerned.
He sounds like a good choice. My question is, why didn't we focus on him from the beginning, instead of pointing toward an extreme long shot in Kiffin? Very similar to the situation that had us "settling" for Orgeron.
