All of our WRs are impressively talented & "playmakers". What seperates Doucet is his ability to block downfield & his ability to get seperation with awesome route running/cutting ability.

Toliver will be a great one, but at this point he doesn't know the plays. Byrd has great speed, but he also doesn't know the playbook. Jared Mitchell really impressed me with his toughness & ability to get through tackles, but he doesn't run his routes precisely enough to get good seperation. Byrd is pretty good about routes, but really needs to learn to come back for & fight for the ball.

i'd be willing to bet those boys know the playbook a helluva lot better this week than they did last week - and they'll just keep getting better! true that doucet will be missed, but the team will fill the gap.

Where has Byrd been? isnt he a junior??

I know he had a lot of talent the past few years in front of him, but i dont really remember hearing about him.

He's a JUCO transfer. This is his first year with the team.

Info from a friend of the Doucets... MRI scan showed NO tear in the groin, and he'll probably be ready for Florida.
