1. I did say it was an aberration, though at the time I was half teasing. The truth is though, I was also half serious. I do believe it was an aberration, That wasn't the Duck's offense that I saw all season, up until that game.

I doubt that your quote came from the Eugene Register Guard's Oregon Football beat writer, Rob Mosely, that's not his style. I wouldn't put it past their crappy opinion columnist though. And of course, any of those hacks in Portland could have written it.

Mental breakdown....You're baiting me, I see that. I'm not interested.

I'm looking for something fun to talk about, I'm tired of debating, we'll find out soon enough.

    Good luck against Kent St.

Rwilliams, last year our center snaps were no problem. The years prior to that however were pretty bad. The Ducks almost always snap to the shotgun, used to be a lot of very high snaps, scary. Hope I don't see that problem again, but watch for it Saturday.

    Go Ducks!
  2. Thomas is left unprotected too often. He's a tough kid, he'll hang in there and deliver the ball while taking the hit, but I'm afraid he's going to get hurt.

Bryan Bennett our redshirt freshmen backup has never taken a snap during a game. Same is true for the rest of the QB's.

  3. Ken Roe, article titled, "Oregon's rebuilt offensive line faces another big, fast, physical SEC defensive front in the Cowboys Classic." Can't make this stuff up.

"We made mistakes," UO tackle Darrion Weems.
"to take nothing away from Auburn, we messed some things up in that game that cost us big time," Greatwood said. It wasn't as much physical as it was mental things, which there are no excuses for."

We are all agreeing it wasn't your normal game you were accustom to watching from Oregon's perspective. We don't agree on the why. Your intrepid reporter in this article is making my argument. Somebody got manhandled at the line of scrimmage.

Fairly and the defensive front, physically imposed their will on the offensive line. Oregon's response hasn't changed. We have to be better with our schemes. Got to work on those X's and O's, eliminate "mental mistakes."

Nothing new about any of this. It's an old argument. Will great defense keep beating great offense? So far so good.
  4. This seems significant to me, hoss. Thomas is going to get hit Saturday night. Certainly hard and hopefully often. Do you really have no other quarterback with any experience? How can Kelley risk him like that?
  5. Hey duck i thought bennett looked pretty good in the spring game. I know thats not real game experience but i think he is going to be good for ya'll. He got good mechanics.
  6. Ken Goe, Portland Oregonian, I actually like him.

    Sorry, but unless you can provide me with some pretty convincing credentials I've decided accept the explanation of an actual football coach. I see nothing wrong with his statement, I think he sees it the same as me. It's simple;

We think the Ducks should have beaten the sh!t out of Auburn.

We didn't win, we don't like it, we're not buying that we got dominated.

Your opinion is as valid as a sport's writers, perhaps he writes better.
Your opinion is colored by SEC lenses, distorted by hubris, but it's an honest opine.

Sports opinion columnists are motivated by lust.... for fame, money, influence, power. They have sinister ambitions, they aren't fans, they only care about their job.

I still disagree with you, but I respect your honest opinions, much more than some columnist's tainted ones.

There's videos on ESPN.com, guessing that Alabama/Oregon will dance in January.

I'll let you guess the experts pick.

    Go Ducks, & Duck U!
  7. "We think the Ducks should have beaten the sh!t out of Auburn."

Again, OREGON got DOMINATED WHERE IT MATTERS!!!!!

    75 rushing yards.............

    75

    75

    75

    75
  8. It's not SEC bias as much as you want to make it out to that.....

    AU MADE OREGON 1 DEMENTIONAL......

    You understand this right?
  9. Sec power> PAC 12 finesse
  10. Not really, we have a WR who is kind of a jack of all trades, he played a little last year in the 3rd game against Portland St. #3 is flat out great, but will redshirt. #4 is a walkon who ran our scout team last year. Jerrard Randall signed his LOI with the Ducks, but was academically ineligible. He cleared that up, it's a mystery why, but Chip didn't want him anymore, and Randall went to LSU.

Thomas getting hurt is likely, we're going to be lucky if he doesn't. Scares the hell out of me. Chip is a master with QB's though, Masoli was 5th string, 2 or 3 months later he was starting. Dennis Dixon was bad before Chip showed up, that same year Dixon would have won the Heisman except he blew out his knee.

    Pray for DT.

    In Chip I Trust
