Oh you've earned your street cred so we won't require pics for every outing. Now nudes, we need to talk about those.

Mine is just a netting with some bands in it to hold it in place.

My niece on a recent hunt in Pearl River Swamp. Love that kid. She can shoot too!

I am planning on hitting up Honey Island Swamp a few times this year, want to try and get a good wood duck mount.

That slough in my last pic is a wood duck highway. That's not far from the Pearl River lock at Sun.

    Ditto.

I grew up hunting, but when I moved away from my Dad's arsenal and all that free hunting land in north Louisiana, I have mostly given it up. I never had the patience to be a really good hunter, anyway. Now, with everything leased up and expensive, mediocre hunters like me just do favors for good hunters and get donated some venison from time to time.

Yeah same here. Our family had a huge slice of hunting glory which is no longer. I'm not paying a lease although I go as a guest on occasion on a deer or duck hunt. Not often and I used to go every weekend.

I traded my ex-wife to a deer hunter for a good buck every fall. I get enough ground, back strap, and jalepeno summer sausage to last me most of the remaining year until the next one. Think I made a smart investment.

Duck hunting is very spotty here in South Central La. I hear of a place here and there killing but overall it's really bad. Hard to believe we're coming off of the best teal season I can remember around here.
