    Went out for opening morning last Saturday, we had two groups of 6 on one pond, huge mistake. We should have all hunted together, as they all went for the deeper water. My group was essentially hunting in mud, about 2 inches of water, the other group had some good water and tore them up.

    My group got 15 or so birds, mostly green wing, red heads, and spoonies. We did get a few wigeons. It was a good time all around, wish it was a bit cooler though.

    I canceled for Sunday morning for obvious reasons.

    Anyone else go out, we are going out again this weekend.

    I never go till after Thanksgiving. Too f'n hot and too many cotton mouths where we go.

    I'm gonna use that this weekend when someone ask me if this is my first duck hunt.......nah I hunt all the time but usually never before thanksgiving, cotton mouths.
