I believe he is talking about using a "Texas Rig" to attach the weights to his decoys. You can get them from Academy or Bass Pro. Make sure you get a sturdy guage of line or they will just get all tangled up and drive him bonkers in the blind.

Also, buy him a few D rings to clip the decoys together. I recommend putting a double overhand knot in the base of the lines closest to the decoys, and then clip that to the loops on the other end of the decoys. hard to explain over text, but I'm sure he knows what to do with it.

He will love you for this. Make sure the weights are the kind that slide up and down the lines too.

The rings look irregular shaped, something that would fit you Tig for the purpose you mentioned? I mean with that whole cauliflower thing you got going......
