Why is his personal point of view on marriage equal to ignorance? You see it differently, that doesn't make your opinon better. And the advice was not intended to make women more submissive. It was intended to tell the men in attendance that a woman who marries young is more likely to be focused on the marriage relationship than the money and trappings that women can become over-fascinated with once they hit their 20's. It's not my ideal but if it's his and his marriage has worked, so what? In Louisiana a 16 year old can marry with parental consent. Phil said in the video to make sure consent is given. As someone already mentioned, A&E wanted to find crazy rednecks to put on their network and make money. Why is it that A&E intentionally inserted fake bleeps to insinuate cussing when in fact no cuss words had been used? Robertson has made no comparisons of gays to terrorists. He made comments about sins. At some point, his understanding of the Word is that sinning is bad and it includes a range of behavior including homosexual relationships. Folks who put all Christians into the anti-gay category for believing in the sanctity of traditional marriage and hetero relationships are in fact, the ones who limit the growth of compromise and understanding. Everyone gets a seat at the table, not just those with whom you agree. Generalize much?
