    Yeah, they did it when LSU had the ball! The wave can be distracting, you do it when the opponent has the ball. That's why most people did not join in. It was stupid timing.

    The cops are not outnumbered at all, there are more cops than hooligans on campus. There are 1000 cops on campus on game day. They can radio up backup that arrives in minutes because they are very close. The hooligans are never in packs bigger than a dozen and are often just 2 or 3.

    If armed policemen fear these odds, they have no business being a cop and they certainly aren't providing effective security. This isn't volunteer work, these guys are getting paid overtime. Providing security in a huge gameday crowd like this is serious work and some of them treat it like they are walking the aisle at Albertson's.
