1. I watched it happen, they stopped the bus infront of a huge tailgate of pretty much all frat boys. I didn't really think it was a big deal at all. Sure they threw plastic cups of beer and banged on the windows, but its all in good fun right? They just need a more discreet way of getting to the game then rolling along side drunk fans.

  2. tell this to dubois.
  3. Every school has their share of idiots and yes, alcohol is usually involved. The perception of some other schools' fans is that some LSU fans relish the rep as a crazy, hard drinkin', semi-pyschotic fanbase.

LSU on gameday is unlike any other. Auburn is much more laid back without the variety of culinary delights that Baton Rouge is famous for. But LSU also has a rep that it is out of control.

The only way to change it is if the university powers enforce a tough set of rules that will punish those that do this kind of stuff rather than be like your AD and insinuate that it was the UT bus drivers' fault because they got in behind the LSU buses and had to stop, which is something that the LSU administration tries to avoid. Instead of cracking down on the trouble makers, they seem to want to just make it harder for them to be jerks, not stop it all together.

I plan on being in BR for our game with you guys and I am sure if I look for trouble, I'll find it. I plan on looking for some good food and a cold beer and hope that those items will be just as easy to find.
  4. well as swoop said, it must have happened before UT ever pulled up to Tiger Stadium
  5. Thats why I said not just some but EVERY SIGLE ONE that sees it has to get involved. You or I shouldn't be the only ones confronting the jerks there should be another 50 with you(strength in numbers). You better believe there were enough people witnessing this incident where they could have stopped it without a fight, even a drunk isn't going to take on 50 angry and embarassed fans. The fans do have the power to stop it you just have to stop being a spectator and get involved and that means everyone. No doubt a large percentage of Tiger fans are the salt of the earth damn good people, we shouldn't let a couple of loosers stain us all.
  6. Nothing justifies this... but Tennessee didn't have to act like a bunch of dicks after they beat us either

  7. i dont know whats going on but i doubt the UT AD is lying about it.

UT athletics director Mike Hamilton said the Tennessee party had four buses, and he was on the last one, which included other school officials and cheerleaders. "They were throwing bottles at the buses and that kind of stuff," Hamilton said. "The bus I was on, they broke three of the windows."
  8. Sorry Swoop, can't buy into that one...if what Dubois is reporting is true then the perpetrators need to be dealt with immediately. My old, grizzled First Sergeant used to say, "There's good in every person. If nothing else you can make an example of them." There is no excuse for that type of behavior.
  9. not that it makes tons of difference, but, unless i missed it, our AD didnt say that, but an assistant.
  10. True. But that also goes for pretty much the rest of the SEC, doesn't it? We all live in the poor, dumb south.
