Re: 5Star DT William Campbell We're not. You are assuming our coaches have these recruits pegged for the same positions they are listed on the various recruiting sites. In the case of Barksdale, they recruited him as an OT...whether he, rivals, or you knew it.
Re: 5Star DT William Campbell I think he will have influence, thats one of the top schools academically and atheltics in the Detroit area. Those kids stick together, I think LSU is probably at the top of his list. Miles wouldnt turn this kid down. I thnk we are fine at Oline with the past few years of recruits including this one.

Re: 5Star DT William Campbell Looks like Campbell will be making up his mind before November, when the playoffs start for his high school team (they play them on Saturdays). Campbell has it down to Michigan, USC, LSU and Miami. The kid wants to go where he can win a national championship and have a great education. That rules out Michigan and Miami.

Re: 5Star DT William Campbell I think if Campbell gets down here for a visit and sees how we rotate our d-line(assuming he will play defense in college) then its over, he's ours.
Re: 5Star DT William Campbell this is a great point concerning early PT. And he knows we lose 3 or 4 linemen after this year and then the next batch of backups needs to be groomed. If he's confident in his abilities, then he will think he has a legit shot at being on the field as a true freshman.
