this. which is part of what i was trying to say. make sure anything that can be inspected is.

i agree that if we have to tighten regulations, fine. its that word "balance" i mentioned. and while at it, have teams from somewhere, not the mms, like maybe gao or something go over every application file for every rig out there with a fine tooth comb. if things were not addressed or slipped by in the app, as they did with the horizon, then determine what those deficiencies are and address/correct them. a lot can be done to beef up safety without destroying an already fragile economy of an entire region

Exactly. They could inspect any of that equipment without shutting it all down if they needed to. As a matter of fact, the man-power needed to do all of the inspections would arguably create more employment, not destroy it as they're apparently intent on doing now.

Its funny that people keep bringing up windmills.
We have to do away with this kind of thinking.
Windmills are bad, they kill birds and are inefficient.
I bet it can be proven that oil rigs are still more efficient and safer than windmills.

WE should be powering our buildings with Nuclear Energy.
Sadly France has been doing this for years with no problems.
Sadly they are ahead of us in something!

Tell that to the Pelicans covered in oil. I don't know if windmills are efficient or not i was just pointing out there wouldn't be much of a clean up. I do agree though on Nuclear Energy.

I'm for it all. All sources of energy have one drawback or consequence, so we have to address that before using it.

PurpleTiger brought up windmills. I agree, he should stop bring them up.

i meant what i said, that he is likely to do something that is worse than doing nothing. yunno like push for a moratorium.

i taught you that it was hypocritical to call me out and ban me, while using your sig as a petty and childinsh public taunting of red, in a place where he could not respond. so i see you learned your lesson and removed it. good. if it happens again i will call you a miserable **** again, and you will again realize your error. i dont mind a short ban if it helps you save face after being stupid.
