I'm not turning into Chicken Little and screaming that the sky is falling, but it definitely hurts to have your two senior leaders on offense gimpy going into the meat of the SEC schedule. All I'm saying is that I'm concerned and hope that the younger guys do step up. Our D is going to keep us in all the games we play. We'll just need decent offense, without mistakes, to win the upcoming big games. That's the problems with young players...prone to the mistake. All I'm saying is that I am concerned guys. Some agree, some disagree. We've all got our own opinions. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
The defense has no injuries to speak of. We have the best defense in the nation....by far. Worry not. There are no great defenses we have to face this season. We will be fine. Our running game is still the backbone of what we do on offense. And no one is hurt. Run to set up the pass. It's gonna work all year long, ending up in an undefeated season and an NC.
Audacious - but what the hell. Me likey audacity. Beating Florida twice would be one helluva season, not to mention a much improved Bammer, an apparently talented Kentucky squad, and the Arkansas McRazorFaddenJoneses. Anyway - No Fear!
So, I can remember several times in the past couple years the benchers have come in and saved the day when a senior leader starter goes down. Davey/Mauck, SECC game...Rohan is taken to the hospital durning the game and Mauck comes in and IS AMAZING.. Vincent and Broussard was already brought up. Russell/Flynn, Peachbowl, remember, we didn't have chance, Miami was going to light us up...yeah well we know how that ended. Part of making the BCSNC game is taking your adversity and getting over it, I mean, if it was easy to get there..Duke would be playing for it every year with Army. Yeah we have to face Spurrier, yeah we will probably have to play the Gators twice, yeah Kentucky is apparently better, yeah we gotta face Nick Saban, yeah Mcfadden runs every play for arkansas offense/defense, and plays all positions...big deal.. Either LSU is ready or not...Flynn, Doucent, Lafell, Perilloux, Hester, Dorsey, whomever... Every LSU player knows how good this team is and I guarantee you everyone will be ready play...don't fret about it. It's like my daddy used to say... Coaches Coach, Players Play, Fans Fan...the flames of controversy. Hell, I'm more worried about playing SC at 230, than who our starting quarterback is. ok thats my rant...tear is apart as you must.
I really hope Flynn is ready. If it is a high ankle sprain, I would rather CLM keep him out till UF. Let the injury heal as close to 100% as possible instead of trying to play him with a still injured ankle. We saw this with Addai, Addai kept wanting to play and CLM kept putting him in and JA couldn't barely make a cut. That injure lingered all season. I have confidence in RP for the SC game and especially the Tulane game. Let Flynn rest. I would like to throw both MF and RP at UF, ala VTech.
Come on man. How many more years on this forum will it take you to learn that we have one of the most sarcastic group of people around?
I guess that's what I get for rolling right out of bed and reading the forum while still half asleep.
