LSU definitely has interest in him. Some kids don't take officials to the home town school because they go to every game unofficially anyway. It doesn't mean that they don't want to go there.
My understanding is that the coaches knew then and know now that we were never serious contenders, and they have never really expected him to commit to us, nor have they tried particularly hard to convince him.
